About Us |
| Gone at Dawn specializes in fly fishing trips along the world
re-known Bow River south of Calgary, Alberta Canada. The "Blue
Ribbon Bow" as it is often referred to, is fed
by glaciers in the Canadian Rockies and is famous for its plentiful
supply of Rainbow and Brown trout. The stretch of river south
of Calgary varies from 50 yards to 200 yards wide as it meanders
through natural, quiet, and relatively uninhabited, beautiful
terrain. It is a wonderful, relaxing experience to float and
fish this region from a McKenzie style drift boat....a day you
will always remember and cherish. Apart from the fish you'll
catch, they day is often enhanced by the sight of eagles, hawks
and great Blue Herons. Your professional guide, Rob, a native
Albertan, fell in love with this area of the river many years
ago and now spends all of his time there. He is therefore intimately
familiar with every stretch, twist, and nook. Combine this with
his love and passion for the river and his sense of humor and
easy going style, and you get a successful, enjoyable trip every
time out. |
